Call of Duty fans have been guessing which game Activision will release next. As it just got revealed, the choice has been made in favor of Black Ops sub-franchise. Black Ops 3 seems like a very logical possibility considering how well the franchise has performed in the past for the Call of Duty series and the record number of copies sold all over the globe. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is developed by Treyarch and published by Activision. Black Ops 1 was released in 2010 and was a huge success following Black Ops 2 two years later.
It is obvious the upcoming Black Ops installment will be available on the next generation consoles, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 but it is unclear if game manufactures will work on developing Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3 versions though.
According to Gamespot, the game will feature a lot of futuristic elements like military technology, the style of warfare and more. The story will take place in a future with a new group of Black Ops soldiers.
The upcoming game will traditionally feature 3 modes: Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies.
More details will be revealed in just a few days. So far we only know some of the possible game locations: an area in Egypt near the Nile River, a Singapore school and a prison in Zurich.
Rumor has it players will be able to revisit sequences to the events from the first two Black Ops installments as the game will have a time travel option.
